Our Story

The adage ‘Embago telimba’ holds true amongst the populace whose economic backbone is agriculture for many innovations transpiring through Uganda are linked to the use of ‘Embago’ a garden tool synonymously used amongst all families to work the fertile soils and sustain livelihoods as a people embark on the many meaningful journeys of service.

Our vision

At Embago coffee, our vision is to enhance appreciation of each Ugandan family engaged in the workforce for the betterment of livelihood through coffee and its related products, art, tourism, sports.

We are about learning together, ‘for where two or more are gathered in my name there I am with them’ sharing, lending a hand, conversation, collaboration, partnership, prayer, family. This is where we find the zeal to serve. Embago coffee ‘proverb 20:4 ’

Since 2020, Embago coffee has skilled and supported over 180 baristas access gainful employment to a variety of hospitality organizations in a bid to address unemployment while showcasing the fruitful outcomes of taking on responsibility for the transformative change we need to see. We have and continue to work hard towards interesting the locals about the quality coffee grown in Uganda through improving our partnerships and collaborations with different stakeholders in the entire economy.

We serve coffee—but we’re not your typical coffee shop.

Inspired by the Embago, the essential garden tool found in nearly every Ugandan household, we embrace its deeper significance. Just as the Embago cultivates Uganda’s fertile soils, symbolizing unity, hard work, and opportunity, our space nurtures trade, art, communion, and well-being, allowing each individual to leave their mark.

Here, we celebrate the little-known uniqueness of Ugandan hospitality. There’s no WiFi, no television—just great coffee and an abundance of knowledge to share.
